About Us

Chris and Martina Barber

We moved to Puglia looking for a different way of life – something akin to ‘The Good Life’ or in this case ‘La Dolce Vita’ – after years of stressful big city living. Puglia has it all; beautiful coastlines, rolling hills, rustic villages and colourful festivals. And then there’s the fantastic cuisine. What more do you need?

What Puglia Connections do in Puglia

At Puglia Connections we provide assistance to those who aren't fluent in Italian, and with the sometimes tricky permissions and permits necessary to either build a new property, or restore existing buildings. We also help in improving and maintaining established holiday homes, making sure they are perfect for owners and guests alike.

Where we manage property

The majority of the properties we maintain are situated roughly in an area bounded by Bari, Brindisi and Taranto on the coast; Alberobello in the north; down to San Vito in the south, and Oria in the west. Location is still of course an important consideration in buying any property, but there are factors to consider. We’ve gained much experience in procuring the necessary services to set up and maintain a holiday home.

The typical types of property we maintain

The properties we look after are mainly authentic stone buildings like trulli and small Masserie, but we also have modern villas in our portfolio. In restoration projects, we encourage buyers to work closely with local architects to make the most of properties inherent qualities; making sympathetic changes that make maximise the potential as a holiday home.
